Mountain – Ski resort Ribniško Pohorje is located in the idyllic natural landscape of western Pohorje, where the spatial placement of the new tourist infrastructure is in line with the development of winter/summer, wellness, health resort, congress, cycling, golf, adventure and agricultural tourism. The diverse and varied mountain landscape offers unimaginable opportunities for experiencing active holidays and relaxation in the embrace of the idyllic mountain landscape for all generations, groups of guests and seasons.

A. Ski resort Ribniško Pohorje, includes the expansion and construction of ski slopes on approximately 160 ha of area, with a snowmaking system, with a circular cabin lift and switchable four or six-seater chairlifts, ski lifts and cross-country ski trails. The establishment of new ski areas will provide optimal conditions for the development of a comprehensive winter tourism offer: skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, a snow kindergarten, a snow beach, a snowboarding polygon, the organization of ski courses and competitions, various events.

This set includes:

1. Construction of the KKŽ Pesnik circular cable car and cable car connections to the ski resort from the village of Ribnica na Pohorju to the existing ski resort at Ribniška koča at the top of Pohorje,
2. Construction of the Smolnik 4-seater chairlift,
3. Construction of two connecting 4-chair lifts to Hudi Kot – between the Ribniško Pohorje ski resort and the existing Kope ski resort (two 4-chair lifts, 6 ski lifts).

B. Accommodation and Wellness capacities include the construction of a new hotel and apartment complex right next to the mountain village of Ribnica na Pohorje, where the construction of 800 high-quality tourist beds of the 3*-4* class is planned (in 2 hotels with 250 beds and 11 standard apartment houses with 550 beds) and a hotel restaurant. The development and accommodation area will include spaces for shops, sports equipment rentals, 2 indoor swimming pools and wellness facilities with whirlpools, saunas, fitness and massage rooms for the development of the mountain wellness offer.

This set includes:

1. Construction of a hotel and apartment complex in Ribnica na Pohorje,
2. Construction of three smaller apartment complexes next to the cable cars on Ribniško Pohorje: Pesnik, Smolnik, and near Ribniška koča.

Plot size – 120 ha
Floor plan of the building area – subject to private investment to create an additional 2,000 beds.

• Adopted municipal spatial plan – within the framework of the municipal spatial plan, the construction of a mountain ski resort is permitted,
• Municipal location plan for the development area,
• Obtained building permit for the construction of cableway facilities,

Investment type:

A combination of private capital sources and investment funds, both public and private, is envisaged.

Project phase:

1st Phase:
a. Upgrading and construction of cable car infrastructure.
b. Extension and construction of ski slopes,
c. Extension and construction of snowmaking equipment,
d. Equipment for maintenance and control of ski slopes,
e. Upgrade of traffic and municipal equipment (parking lots, footpaths, cycle paths, etc.).

2nd Phase:
a. Expansion and construction of hotel and apartment accommodation capacities (2,000 beds),
b. Expansion of the tourist offer: swimming pool, wellness, sports areas, congress center, ...,
c. Expansion of catering and retail offerings.

The construction permit obtained enables the immediate construction of ski lifts - Ski resort Ribniško Pohorje.
