In the pristine nature of the Koroška region, we are building a smart settlement for 100 residents with sustainable materials and zero waste, which will be upgraded with state-of-the-art digital technologies. In a hybrid environment, we will physically and virtually connect global stakeholders who want to participate in the innovative development of urgently needed systemic changes for the green transition.

The "Unique Selling Proposition" (USP) of the "Smart Village SUN" project is represented by the "Space as a Service" model, combining an exceptional experience of living, working and exploring in the natural environment of Smart Village Sun and its surroundings (physical world) and a virtual communication, collaborative, project, research, consulting and educational environment, which brings global inclusiveness and the opportunity for a larger number of stakeholders from all over the world to collaborate in real time (virtual world).

Smart Village SUN will be a model village and a development and demonstration playground for developing the concept of mobile factories for the construction of a larger number of similar settlements near sustainable building materials (wood and other bio-based materials) and smart village locations.

Advantages:

OPPN published in the Official Gazette, the settlement is already partially built, the building permit for part of Phase 1 will be issued shortly, partnership of leading Slovenian and Dutch companies and RRI on all components of smart settlements, climate, energy and food crisis, New European Bauhaus and other EU strategies and action plans for financing the green transition, project feasibility by June 2025.
