Economic delegation at the GITEX Europe 2026 fair, Berlin

GITEX Europe is Europe's leading international technology and investment event , connecting companies, innovators, investors and decision-makers from all over the world. In its most recent edition in Berlin, the fair brought together more than 21,000 attendees, 1,400 exhibitors, 750 startups and over 500 global investors from over 120 countries .

GITEX Europe will cover areas such as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, blockchain technology, digital transformation, mobile technologies, 5G networks, robotics, fintech, cloud computing and digital infrastructures – including telecommunications, data centers, connected cities and the public sector. Special attention will be paid to startups and SMEs under the North Star program, which encourages the search for investment opportunities for these companies.

The fair offers a unique opportunity to network and connect with leading technology companies, innovators and investors. In addition to business meetings, there will be numerous conferences, panel discussions and presentations by top speakers who will share insights into the latest trends and innovations in the technology sector.

As part of the Slovenian delegation, companies will have the opportunity to present themselves at the group Slovenian stand, which provides them with greater visibility and the opportunity to gain new business partnerships and exchange good practices.

Participation costs

SPIRIT Slovenia covers the costs of:

• rental of exhibition space and all necessary connections for the operation of the stand,
• setting up the Slovenian exhibition space and presenting the umbrella brand Slovenia – Green, Creative, Smart,
• tickets for companies that are members of the delegation,
• inclusion of all companies that are members of the delegation in the GITEX Europe online platform for establishing contacts with potential buyers,
• organizational support in the preparation and implementation of the delegation.

The costs of transportation and hotel accommodation are covered by the participants themselves.

Possibility of co-financing 60% of costs.

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises have the opportunity to co-finance part of the costs by using a voucher for participation in economic delegations, which was announced by the Slovenian Enterprise Fund (SPS). When submitting an application for using the voucher, it is necessary to submit a certificate of registration for an economic delegation, issued by SPIRIT Slovenia, to the SPS. Due to a substantive change in the public call, the submission of applications has been temporarily suspended. A notice on the release of the receipt of applications will be published.

Applications

We kindly invite interested representatives of Slovenian companies to confirm their participation in the delegation via the electronic application form, no later than 23 January 2026, or until the available places are filled. When selecting, we will take into account the relevance of the companies in relation to the priority areas/sectors and the order of applications. After the deadline, we will organize a preparatory meeting, where we will present the event and the composition of the delegation in more detail.

For the joint presentation of Slovenian companies, SPIRIT Slovenia will prepare a presentation brochure, which will include all participants. All applicants will be sent instructions for preparing content and access to the platform for submitting promotional materials.

The delegation's detailed program will be announced later.

Free cancellation of participation in the delegation is possible until 31 March 2026 by sending an e-mail to: martin.zadel@spiritslovenia.si. For cancellations after this date, the delegation organizer will charge EUR 300 per company.
