Awarding the best innovations of the Koroške region

Subject: 22 innovation proposals will be presented at the Koroške awards ceremony for the best innovations in the region. The number of applications indicates a strong innovation momentum in the region. The event includes a main program with an awards ceremony, followed by refreshments and socializing. The innovators will be thanked for their contribution to a better quality of life and work.

Networking for female entrepreneurs - From a strong brand to new markets

Subject: RRA Podravje - Maribor invites female entrepreneurs and SME owners to a series of three networking events. They are intended to strengthen competencies in the field of business growth and development through the exchange of good practices and networking. Topics include branding, artificial intelligence and entering foreign markets. Participants must attend all three physical meetings in Maribor. Applications are open until May 22, 2026.

The importance of timely preparation for the transfer of business ownership for SMEs in the Koroške region"

Subject: On Koroškem, three two-hour workshops for business owners and successors will be held at OOZ Ravne in June 2026. The goal is to form an entrepreneurial network of 5–7 participants with similar challenges in selling, taking over or transferring ownership. Participants will exchange experiences, learn about decision-making methods and connect with Slovenian and foreign entrepreneurs and experts. Attendance at all workshops is mandatory. The deadline for registration is Friday, June 5, 2026 on the OZS website.

Training Just Transition Project Manager with Certificate

Subject: The SAŠA Development Agency invites you to a free training course "Just Transition Project Manager" with a certificate. The event will take place on May 26, 27 and June 2, 2026 in Velenje. Participants will gain knowledge on obtaining EU funds, project planning and efficient use of funds. Lecturer Urška Ošljak has more than 20 years of experience. Austrian Business Forum Koroške

Subject: The first Austrian Koroške business forum will be organized in Ljubljana, aimed at Slovenian entrepreneurs and startups. The event represents an opportunity to enter the DACH market through Koroške as the "Silicon Valley of Europe". Participants will learn about research infrastructure, financial incentives, legal frameworks and examples of good practices. Key decision-makers will speak, followed by lunch and networking. The number of places is limited.

Slovenia - India: Strategic partnership in technology and business

Subject: This is a business event on opportunities in the Indian market. It is organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, SPIRIT Slovenia and ministries in cooperation with the Indian Embassy. It is intended for Slovenian companies that are already doing business with India or are planning to do so. They will present the advantages of the future EU-India free trade agreement, enable B2B meetings and inclusion in the Slovenian-Indian Business Council.

Public invitation to innovative SMEs to present an innovative product, service and solution at the MGTŠ exhibition stand at the AGRA 2026 fair

Subject: At the AGRA fair in Gornja Radgona (22-26 August 2026), SPIRIT Slovenia and the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sports will enable innovative Slovenian SMEs to present their products, solutions and services from the fields of agriculture, food processing, packaging, renewable sources and woodworking free of charge. The aim is to show the domestic and foreign public the innovative potential of Slovenia and to encourage business cooperation.

Public call for tender P7-2 2026 - Microcredits 2026

Subject: The Slovenian Enterprise Fund has announced a call for microcredits worth a total of EUR 10 million. They are intended for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises in both cohesion regions of Slovenia. The funds cover the costs of business processes or projects. The objectives of the call are to maintain and create new jobs, promote projects and provide quick access to favorable financing conditions, including a moratorium and lower costs.

Public call for investment intervention in primary wood processing and digitalization (IRP08) for 2026

Subject: On 8 May 2026, the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food published a public call for proposals to support investments in primary wood processing and digitalization. The aim is to add value to forestry products and increase competitiveness and productivity in forestry. The total amount of grants is 3.5 million euros. The funds are divided equally between operators of supplementary activities on farms and companies, cooperatives and sole proprietors.

Public invitation to employers to implement local on-the-job training programs "USPOSABLJAM.SE" 2026-2027

Subject: Public invitation to tender collects offers from employers for the implementation of local on-the-job training programmes "Usposabljam.se" 2026–2027. It includes two identical programmes, which differ only in their target group and source of funding. Unemployed persons are included in the work process at the employer for three months, where they gain knowledge and experience for greater employability under mentorship. The aim is to improve the competitiveness of the unemployed on the local labour market.

Public invitation to employers to implement a project within the Learning Workshops+ program

Subject: In a public invitation, the Institute is collecting offers from employers for the project Learning Workshops+. It is intended for practical training of unemployed persons who need in-depth treatment. Participants are trained under mentorship in a social entrepreneurship environment, and with the support of a job coach, they overcome obstacles (e.g. long-term unemployment, disability). The goal is to perform tasks independently. The total value of the funds tendered is EUR 900,000.00.

P1 plus 2026 | Guarantees of the Bank Loan Fund with interest rate subsidy

Subject: A call for €33 million in funding has been launched for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises to facilitate access to bank loans for investments, particularly in the areas of digitalisation and the green and circular economy. The SPS provides a 60% guarantee for loans of up to €1.25 million, with up to 80% of eligible costs being financed. Conditions include a positive bank decision and an appropriate credit rating.

Public tender to promote the introduction of environmental and sustainability labels for providers in the hospitality and tourism industry 2026

Subject: The Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality has published a public tender for co-financing the acquisition and renewal of internationally recognized environmental or sustainable labels in tourism and hospitality. The tender is intended for accommodation, catering providers, travel agencies, attractions, mountain and congress centers. It is divided into two lots: for the first acquisition of the label and for re-certification. A total of 200,000 euros is available, and various entities of public and private law with an appropriately registered activity can apply.
