Evening for Pohorje

In 2024, the Republic of Slovenia and six Pohorje municipalities (Zreče, Vitanje, Mislinja, Lovrenc na Pohorju, Ruše and Slovenska Bistrica) established a wider protected area , the Regional Park Pohorje .

On the occasion of the first year of park management, we are preparing a very special Pohorje Evening , which will include:

• a conversation was held with the park managers from the Slovenian Institute for Nature Conservation, Maribor branch and RRA Koroška doo,
• animated film "The Wild Rooster: The Secret Life of a Year and a Quarter" was screened,
• the opening of the exhibition "Nature and Mythology of Pohorje" took place,
• Librarian Agica Kovše, from the Maribor Library, enriched the evening with storytelling and took us into the mysterious world of Pohorje fairy tales and tales.

You are cordially invited to the Pohorje Evening on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at 5 p.m. in the ground floor of the Ruše Cultural Center (Falska cesta 24, Ruše).
