    7. 3. 2025
  • Ura 10.00 - 13.00
  • Lokacija UNDERGROUND PECA – Tourist Mine and Museum Glančn

You are invited to participate, as an important stakeholder in the area or the wider cross-border area of the geopark, in the workshop "Opportunities of cross-border public passenger transport", which will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, between 10 am and 1 pm, in the premises of the Geopark Podzemlje Pece info center (PODZEMLJE PECE – Turistični rudnik in muzej Glančnik 8, 2392 Mežica).

Dear Sir/Madam,

The Karavanke UNESCO Global Geopark area is attractive for leisure activities, and therefore the offer of leisure and tourist activities there is diverse. The planned imminent opening of the Koralm high-speed rail link (under Golica) in Austria will improve the accessibility of visitors to the passenger terminals in the immediate vicinity of the geopark, which must be followed by the offer of other public transport (PPT) connections for visiting the park and the wider cross-border area. With the current Interreg Slovenia-Austria Connect2tourism project, we want to address the need for a common cross-border strategy, as well as introduce a new PPT connection in the form of a cross-border bus service "Geoparkbus", including the development of multimodal transfer points along the route.

We invite you, as an important stakeholder of the area or the wider cross-border area of the geopark, to attend the workshop "Opportunities of cross-border public passenger transport", which will take place on Friday, March 7, 2025, between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m., in the premises of the Podzemlje Pece Geopark Info Center (PODZEMLJE PECE – Turistični rudnik in muzej Glančnik 8, 2392 Mežica).
