MPIK Event: Stories of Koroška startups you need to hear

We have therefore invited Koroška start-up companies to participate in the round table, which have been germinating in recent years within the framework of MPIK or the RRA Koroška entrepreneurial programs. Although these are very young companies, they prove that it is also allowed to dream of big things in Koroška. The guests will talk about their entrepreneurial path so far, the products they offer, their visions and goals, the mistakes they have made so far. And much more. They will also be joined by Jure Knez as a representative of the Koroška Network Business Incubator.

The event is intended for anyone interested in positive and inspiring entrepreneurial stories.

Jana and Primož Gams,

owner and director of Dogs4motion

At the end of 2018, the company Dogs4motion established the first center for veterinary rehabilitation and hydrotherapy of dogs in Slovenia in MPIK Ravne. It uses veterinary physiotherapy to improve the movement of dogs, and also offers online training for owners of sporting and working dogs. They have participants in their online courses from practically all over the world - as they like to joke, the only thing missing is customers from Antarctica. By establishing a center in Koroška, they have shown that with the right team and an appropriate supportive environment, it is possible to succeed even in a remote region like Koroška.

Gasper Kumprey,

director and co-owner of Mouzen doo

Gašper and his team are solving problems caused by repetitive strain with their product Mouzen, an innovative ergonomic support for the hand when using a computer mouse and keyboard. Among other things, they achieved extraordinary success on the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter, where they greatly exceeded their goal of $25,000 and raised as much as $64,000. They have just shipped the first products to Kickstarter supporters from all over the world. The company is a member of MPIK, Ravne na Koroškem unit.

Peter Renner,

Director and owner of GuitarGod

The passion of Peter Rener, a young entrepreneur from Prevalje, is guitars and everything related to them. Under the brand name "Guitar God", he offers boutique and customized guitar chairs to the market. In addition to chairs, he also sells guitar hangers and decorative accessories for guitarists. Peter is also the winner of the 3rd MPIK Competition for the Best Business Idea 2018. This year, he presented his products at the 30th Furniture Fair in Ljubljana as part of the Top Ideas - Design Fair.

Director and owner of Snuddly doo

The company is developing an innovative portable drying and cooling cage for dogs and cats. It solves the problem of drying dogs and cats after bathing, while also offering cooling on hot summer days. It is a product with high added value, with which the company is targeting the global market. It is entering the pet accessories industry, which is one of the fastest, but above all, constantly growing industries. The company is a member of MPIK, Slovenj Gradec unit.

Head of the Koroška Network Business Incubator (MPIK)

MPIK, which operates within the framework of the RRA Koroška, represents a supportive environment for potential entrepreneurs and companies. On the one hand, in cooperation with the municipalities of Dravograd, Radlje ob Dravi, Ravne na Koroškem and Slovenj Gradec, it offers 4,000 m2 of office and production space under favorable conditions. On the other hand, it provides substantive entrepreneurial support activities in the form of professional workshops, promotional events, mentoring, consulting, etc. The latter have benefited to a large extent precisely the above-mentioned companies.
