Checking interest in participating in an economic delegation to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland

The United Kingdom is one of the most developed markets in the world, with a highly developed market economy and a significant role in global trade. Despite leaving the EU single market and customs union, the EU remains its largest trading partner and a key source of investment. The British market is extremely sophisticated and open to innovative solutions, products and services that contribute to higher productivity, lower costs and improve business efficiency.

Participation in the economic delegation to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland thus represents an excellent opportunity to establish new business contacts for export cooperation between British and Slovenian companies, explore market opportunities, and strengthen competitiveness.

Communication of interest

We invite all interested companies to confirm their interest via the ELECTRONIC APPLICATION FORM , no later than January 12, 2026 .

When submitting an informative application, you must attach:

• a short presentation of the company and product/service in English,
• reason or motivation for participating in the delegation,
• information on the scope of operations in the British market (if the company already operates there),
• your wishes regarding meeting with British companies (which industries are interesting to you).

This will help in organizing any B2B meetings as part of the economic delegation.

If sufficient interest in participating in the outgoing economic delegation to the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland is expressed by Slovenian companies, SPIRIT Slovenia will take over the coordination of the implementation of this economic delegation.

In the event of a business delegation, the invitation and application materials will be published on the portals www.spiritslovenia.si and www.izvoznookno.si.

Possibility of co-financing costs for small and medium-sized enterprises

Participants cover their own direct travel expenses for participation in the delegation. SPIRIT Slovenia will issue a certificate of registration and participation in the delegation to registered participants, which serves as proof for the company when submitting a request for payment of the VOUCHER .

The voucher allows small and medium-sized enterprises to reimburse up to 60% of eligible costs of an economic delegation (transport, accommodation, registration fee).
