Checking interest in participating in the Slovenia and Africa - Together for a Green Transition meeting
On Monday, September 28, 2026 , the international event Energizing Africa 2026 – Slovenia and Africa - Together for a Green Transition will be held in Selnica ob Dravi , which will bring together high-ranking representatives of national, regional and local authorities and businesses from Cameroon, Senegal, Ghana, Benin, Sierra Leone, Nigeria and Togo .
The event will be aimed at establishing new economic partnerships between Slovenia and African countries, with a special focus on renewable energy sources, power grids, energy storage, smart cities, sustainable infrastructure and green technologies. The program will include expert panels, discussions on the green transition and B2B meetings between companies and representatives of African delegations.
A business delegation to Cameroon is also planned for the fall , so the event will be an important opportunity to prepare joint activities and identify concrete business opportunities.

The event is organized by the Energy and Climate Agency for Podravje together with the Styrian Chamber of Commerce, the Association of Municipalities of Slovenia and the Slovenian Cameroonian Club operating in Slovenia.
