Consultation Public bike rental systems – pitfalls and opportunities

On Wednesday, April 10, 2024, we held a conference in Radlje ob Dravi called "Public bicycle rental systems - pitfalls and opportunities". The purpose of the conference was to compare some Slovenian experiences with the establishment and maintenance of regional public bicycle rental systems. As well as to shed light on the possibilities of developing a unified such system in Koroška. In the introductory part, the starting points with contributions for the discussion were given by:

• Peter Žnidaršič, Nomago doo: KolesCE – experiences with the operation of the regional public bicycle rental system in the Savinja region
• Mateja Dolžan, RRA Gorenjska – BSC, doo, Kranj: Gorenjska.Bike – experiences with the operation of the regional public bike rental system in the Gorenjska region
• Gregor Likar, ŠKTM Radlje ob Dravi: Nomago Bikes Radlje ob Dravi - experiences of the test implementation in 2023
• Uroš Rozman, RRA Koroška doo: Possibilities for developing a unified public bicycle rental system in Koroška

After a lively discussion, a practical test of the operation of the Nomago Bikes system and the Elan electric bicycles was made possible.

The event, which took place at the Forest Culture Center in Radlje ob Dravi, was carried out as part of the ReMOBIL project.
