The British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and SPIRIT Slovenia invite you to join a business delegation to England , which will take place from 24 to 27 March 2026. The delegation is intended for Slovenian companies interested in exploring opportunities for cooperation, investment and trade in the dynamic economy of England. The content of the delegation is strategically aligned with the key strengths of the region, with a particular emphasis on high-tech industries (pharmaceuticals, agrotechnology, biotechnology, medical technology), information and communication technologies, manufacturing (aluminium, automotive industry) and logistics.

Participating in the delegation represents an excellent opportunity for companies considering entering the UK market or expanding their existing presence. Through structured B2B meetings and direct contact with UK companies, chambers of commerce and other key stakeholders, participants will be well-placed to identify concrete business opportunities and establish new partnerships.

As part of the delegation, you will visit London and Suffolk.

Suffolk offers significant opportunities for international trade due to its strategic location and developed infrastructure. Situated on the east coast of England, it provides direct access to major European markets and global shipping routes via the Port of Felixstowe, the UK’s largest container port. This places Suffolk as a key hub for import and export activities, particularly in the logistics, manufacturing and agri-food sectors. Well-developed transport links, a skilled workforce and increasing investment in green energy and technology further enhance the region’s appeal to businesses looking for efficient supply chains and sustainable trading practices. For international companies, Suffolk provides an entry point to the UK market and a springboard for wider European business.

Suffolk is also home to a number of important institutions and projects, including:

  • Port of Felixstowe: the UK's busiest container port and a key trade hub with India
  • Freeport East: one of Britain's new free trade zones, offering strategic advantages for foreign investment and cross-border trade
  • Adastral Park (BT Innovation Center): a major technology hub for research, connectivity and development of future telecommunications
  • TechEast: a regional technology cluster that fosters digital innovation and international technology partnerships
  • University of Suffolk: an emerging centre for research, education and international academic collaboration
  • Sizewell C: a nationally significant low-carbon energy project with international supply chain opportunities

The delegation will include targeted company visits, structured B2B meetings and participation in an international trade conference. There will be a particular focus on growth driven by innovation, digital technologies and internationalisation, including a visit to the BT Innovation Centre at Adastral Park, one of the UK's leading R&D centres.
