The SPIRIT Slovenia Public Agency, with the support of the Ministry of the Economy, Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Slovenia and in cooperation with the Embassy of the Republic of Slovenia in Brussels, invites Slovenian companies to express their interest in participating in a business delegation to Brussels, with a tour of the European Hydrogen Week fair, which will take place in Brussels between 26 and 30 October 2026.
Development in the field of hydrogen technologies is increasingly emerging as one of the potential dominant solutions for the future in the search for carbon-free energy sources. Slovenian knowledge in the field of hydrogen technology development is top-notch and enables the introduction of new technologies and processes and the manufacture of new products throughout the value chain, from the development of technologies for the production, storage, transport and distribution of hydrogen, and last but not least, the development of hydrogen technologies for end users. Hydrogen technologies can significantly contribute to achieving environmental and social sustainability, especially in the areas of mobility, transport and industry.
The integration of Slovenian industry into European and global flows can further contribute to the accelerated development of hydrogen technologies. Slovenian companies are building the visibility of their innovative solutions by participating in European projects, for example in consortia such as the Hydrogen Consortium, important projects of common European interest in the field of hydrogen (so-called IPCEI), as well as in regional consortia such as the North Adriatic Hydrogen Valley project.
The economic delegation represents an exceptional opportunity for Slovenian companies that are implementing hydrogen technologies in their processes or are involved in their development. The delegation will enable direct contact with Belgian business partners, presentation of Slovenian solutions and establishment of new business connections.
The expressed interest of Slovenian companies will be the basis for:
designing the delegation program, linked to a focus on the areas: production, use, transport or research and development,
planning business meetings (B2B) and visits to companies and institutions.
Based on the interest gathered, the organizers will check the feasibility of the proposed activities and inform companies in a timely manner about further steps, conditions of participation, and the program.
You can express your interest in participating in the delegation by filling out an electronic form .
Expressions of interest are being accepted no later than May 29, 2026 .
Registration fee: Participation in the delegation is free of charge. SPIRIT Slovenia covers the costs of organization, entry to the fair, implementation of the program, business event and accompanying activities.
Accommodation and transportation: Participants cover their own transportation and accommodation costs, and it will also be possible to use a voucher from the Slovenian Enterprise Fund.
Co-financing for micro, small and medium-sized enterprises:
Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises can recover part of the costs of participation by redeeming a voucher from the Slovenian Enterprise Fund. The SPIRIT Slovenia public agency will issue participants with all necessary certificates for applying for a voucher and a certificate of participation after the event.
