In Pohorje, not only regional, but also interregional cooperation is important

On Wednesday, October 8, 2025, we held the first workshop in Ruše to prepare the landscape design of Pohorje. The landscape design for regional spatial plans is a professional basis intended to guide and more specifically determine spatial development and protection in individual areas of the landscape that are important at the national level and extend to the area of ​​several municipalities.

A large number of participants, almost 30 from various institutions, indicated a considerable willingness and desire to actively participate in the process of preparing the landscape design. Mainly with the aim of improving the quality of life and working conditions and the creation of the local population. As well as to direct tourist and recreational visits in a more sustainable direction.

The workshop was the first of three in the process of preparing the landscape design. It was organized by three regional development agencies: RRA Koroška doo, RRA Podravje – Maribor and RRA Savinjska region.
