Koroška strengthens development, health and social services with record stimulus package
At the Regional Development Agency for Koroško, we are pleased that our efforts in the past months have not been in vain. At a field session during a visit to the Carinthia region last week, the Government of the Republic of Slovenia adopted a €134.95 million Programme of Development Incentive Measures based on the Flood Relief Act.
Key projects that will receive direct funding include:
- Construction of a new facility for the Slovenj Gradec – Klošter General Hospital (EUR 27.8 million).
- Extension to the Koroškega unit of the nursing home in Slovenj Gradec (EUR 6.8 million).
- Construction of the CUDV facility Črna na Koroškem (EUR 6 million).
- Construction of a new home for senior citizens in Mislinja (EUR 19.5 million).
Through public tenders, funds will also be available for:
- Co-financing of investments in kindergartens and primary education (EUR 40 million).
- Development of public tourism infrastructure (EUR 10 million).
- Arrangement of public infrastructure in business zones to strengthen resilience to natural disasters (EUR 20 million).
The adoption of the program is the result of coordinated cooperation between the region and the state and proof that through joint efforts we can achieve concrete development shifts.
