Official awarding of the plaque for the title of BEST EU PROJECT 2025, which was received by the Štrekna cycling route

The plaque was presented to all deserving recipients by the National Coordinator for Communication of EU Funds and Head of the EU Project, My Project competition, Klavdija Operčkal from the Ministry of Cohesion and Regional Development. It was ceremonially received by the Director of the RRA Koroške, Uroš Rozman, the Mayor of the Municipality of Mislinja, Bojan Borovnik and the representative of the City of Velenje, Marija Brložnik.

Of course, all actors are key to the success story, and this is yet another proof that the most beautiful stories are written hand in hand, through cooperation and networking. The popularity and numerous visits by cyclists since the opening also indicate the feasibility and importance of building the long-desired cycling connection through the Huda Luknja gorge.

This was followed by the opening of the exhibition "From Train to Pizza", which was prepared for this purpose within the framework of the Koroškega Provincial Museum, the Ksaver Meško Library Slovenj Gradec and the Regional Development Agency for Koroško. The event was also enriched by musical performances by students of the Mislinja Elementary School.

This was another great opportunity for new acquaintances, good ideas and even more joint successes. Thank you to everyone who celebrated with us and swore by one of the most popular tourist products in the Šaleška region, Koroške!
