Representatives of professional associations from Serbia on a working visit to Koroškem

The delegation consisted of Dušan R. Ivanović from Guča, a leader and professional associate in several local, regional and national associations, Gordana Majstorović from Čačak, an economist and manager in tourism, and Vladimir Majstorović from Čačak, a professor of geography and tourism geography. The associations they represent bring together numerous members and professional associates from all over Serbia and actively cooperate with partners from neighboring countries in the development of projects and the exchange of good practices.

The discussions focused on opportunities for cooperation in the fields of tourism, sustainable development, preparation and implementation of LAG projects and other domestic, European and internationally funded projects. Special attention was paid to forming partnerships for future project applications, exchanging knowledge and developing common content that would contribute to the development of local environments on both sides.

The meeting was also attended by the Mayor of the Municipality of Dravograd Anton Preksavec , a representative of the Dravit Public Institute Dravograd Andrej Heber , the Director of ALP Peca Viktorija Barbič with her colleague Nika Skudnik , and the team of the Regional Development Agency for Koroško. The interlocutors presented their experiences, development orientations and examples of good practices and highlighted numerous common interests, especially in the areas of sustainable tourism, preservation of natural and cultural heritage, and rural development.

The meeting confirmed that connecting different organizations and experts represents an important foundation for the successful preparation of quality development projects. Exchange of experiences, mutual trust and a common vision create opportunities for new partnerships that can significantly contribute to the development of local communities and the strengthening of cross-border cooperation.

The working visit represents an important step towards further connecting Slovenian and Serbian partners and opens the door to new joint initiatives that will contribute to sustainable development, tourism development and the successful absorption of European and other international development funds.
