Vesna VC – an opportunity for deep tech projects

A special place in the Slovenian investment space is occupied by Vesna VC (Vesna Deep Tech Venture Fund), the first venture capital fund in Slovenia specialized in deep tech. It invests in breakthrough companies based on science, research and advanced technologies (e.g. artificial intelligence, ICT, biotechnology, polymers, robotics, smart materials, hydrogen technologies, etc.). The fund's goal is to solve the most pressing global challenges in an innovative way.

Role of RRA Koroška and MPIK

RRA Koroška entered into a cooperation with Vesna VC in September 2025 as an exclusive partner for the Koroško region. This enables Carinthian innovation projects and companies to gain access to financing and support from the fund, which represents an important development opportunity for the region. The objectives of the cooperation are:

• identify promising projects in the region,
• help teams prepare for investment,
• support the commercialization of research results,
• encourage the creation of new businesses.
