Step onto the global stage in Silicon Valley: Applications are open for Startup Grind 2026
The public agency SPIRIT Slovenia has published a public invitation to form a Slovenian startup delegation, which will present itself in the USA at the end of April. Five selected technology companies will be given the opportunity to appear at the Startup Grind Global Conference 2026 in Silicon Valley , which is considered one of the key crossroads of global venture capital and innovation.
Silicon Valley remains the undisputed epicenter of technology trends, but successfully entering this competitive market requires more than just an innovative idea; visibility and access to the right decision-makers are key. The conference, which will take place between April 27 and 29, 2026 , offers just that - direct contact between talent and investors.
The delegation aims to enable Slovenian companies to overcome the initial barriers to finding contacts. In collaboration with the organizers, they have designed a package that goes beyond passive participation and puts Slovenian companies directly at the center of the action.
The selected five will receive:
- Own exhibition space within the national stand to present solutions.
- A guaranteed time to pitch on stage in front of an international audience and investors.
- Exclusive access to the "Accelerate Summit", a closed event before the official opening of the conference, reserved only for selected startups.
- Organized 1:1 meetings with investors in dedicated networking spaces
Who are they looking for?
The call is aimed at tech-driven companies that develop their own software or hardware solutions and do not simply offer agency services. They are looking for teams that demonstrate clear potential for growth and expansion into foreign markets.
The key requirements for applying are scalability and repeatability of the business model. Applicants must have already developed a minimum viable product (MVP) and a working website. Preference will be given to companies that are already generating revenue in the market and thus demonstrating market potential.
Deadline and method of application
Companies that want to present their solution on the global stage must submit their application no later than Monday, February 9, 2026. Applications can be submitted exclusively electronically via the JRP SPIRIT Slovenia portal.
