The President of the Partnership for the Drava Cycling Path cycled Drava Bike

They started the journey in Vič near Dravogradu and finished it in Središče ob Dravi. In two days, they cycled about 160 kilometers and met with about 20 representatives of partner municipalities, local communities, and tourism developers along the route.

The purpose of the visit was to personally experience the Drava Cycling Trail, to check the experience of a cyclist in the field and to get acquainted with the diverse tourist offer offered by the places along the Drava River. Along the way, they visited numerous tourist spots and providers, including Koroške rafting on the Drava, Radlje Water Park, Kovačija pri kovaču, Fala HE Museum, Drava center, House of the Old Vine in Maribor, Roman mounds, Ptuj, Borl Castle, Zavrč Manor, Ormoš Castle and Središče ob Dravi with a swimming pool.

The two-day tour was also an opportunity for discussions with mayors, representatives of municipalities, local communities and providers about the further development of the Drava Cycling Path, upgrading the infrastructure, improving the quality of experiences and strengthening cooperation between partners along the Drava.

The Drava Cycling Path is today much more than just a cycling route. It represents a development axis that connects Koroško and Podravje, natural and cultural heritage, local providers, municipalities and stories along the Drava River into a recognizable and comprehensive tourism product. The cooperation of partners along the route remains key to its further development and to the creation of quality experiences for domestic and foreign visitors, and to the development of the Drava Cycling Path into one of the most recognizable cycling tourism products in Slovenia and beyond.
