Training of regional tourist guides

Dear Sir/Madam,

At your request and initiative, within the framework of the RRA Koroška, we will conduct training for REGIONAL TOURIST GUIDES, which will take place in May and June 2024.

The training will consist of 40 hours of lectures. In addition to the theoretical part, it also includes a visit to some attractions or getting to know the providers of tourist services. After the completion of the training, there will be a leadership simulation with a knowledge test on a full-day trip around the region. In addition to the leadership simulation, the participants also answer the questions asked in writing and prepare a short seminar paper on an agreed topic.

Upon completion, participants receive a certificate of completion.

When and where will it take place?

The 40-hour training will take place between May 17 and 19 and between May 24 and 26, 2024, and the last part on June 8 and 9, 2024. On Fridays from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, on Saturdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, and on Sundays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Who is the training intended for?

The training is tailored to people who already provide tourist guidance in Koroška and those who are interested in this field of work. The training will involve a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 15 people. No special prior knowledge is required, but a passion for the work of a tourist guide and motivation are desirable.

Who will be the training provider?

The training will be conducted by the Palladio Agency, which has extensive experience and references in conducting similar training courses. The lecturer will be Dr. Iztok Bončina, a long-time tourist guide, freelance photographer and photojournalist, professor of art history and history, diver, astronomer and traveler.

How much does it cost?

The total cost of the training for one person is 200 euros. Each participant only contributes a registration fee of 70 euros.
