The British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with SPIRIT Slovenia and the Ministry of Economy, Tourism and Sport, and the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce, invites you to join a webinar on the topic: How to enter the British market?, which will take place on Wednesday, 22 April 2026 , between 10:00 and 12:00.

The first part of the webinar will be held in Slovenian, while the second part with B2B meetings will be held in English.

Part 1 (10:00–11:00): All about successfully entering the British market

In the first part of the webinar, we will share what it takes to successfully establish a presence in the British market.

  • Why the UK is an attractive market for Slovenian export companies. With over 69 million consumers, high purchasing power and openness to premium, niche and sustainable products, the UK remains an attractive market for Slovenian exporters.
  • How to prepare for market entry. Experts from A Tax International will present key tax, legal, HR and customs aspects that need to be considered from the very beginning.
  • What entering the British market looks like in practice. Bita Bagheri and Lovro Ulaga from FledgeWorks will share their recent experience with entering the British market. As HRM software providers, they have adapted their offering to the market based on an analysis of the actual needs of British employers. One of the key findings was that the cold calling approach brings limited results. The key to success is carefully selected fairs, pre-organized B2B meetings and personal contacts. Understanding cultural differences also plays an important role in this.
  • Launch of the new British-Slovenian Business Platform . The British-Slovenian Chamber of Commerce will launch a new business platform at a webinar, designed to support Slovenian exporters in entering and growing in the British market.

Part 2 (11:00–12:00): Meet your future business partners at B2B online meetings

The second part of the webinar will be dedicated to identifying new business opportunities and establishing concrete contacts with potential partners from the United Kingdom.

You will participate in B2B meetings with members of the Suffolk Chamber of Commerce. This is a great opportunity to start initial conversations, test your approach to the market and start building business relationships before you visit the UK.

Participants will be connected according to sector and interests to ensure the most relevant meetings and a good starting point for further cooperation.

When registering, please indicate whether you would like to attend part 2 of the webinar (B2B meetings) and indicate the sector in which your company operates.

Suffolk provides an excellent entry point to the UK market and many international markets. The region is located on the east coast of England and provides direct access to global shipping routes via the Port of Felixstowe, the UK's largest container port.

In addition, it is distinguished by good transport connections, a skilled workforce, and increasing investments in technology and green energy, which creates attractive opportunities for companies in the fields of logistics, manufacturing, and agri-food, as well as for companies seeking to build efficient and sustainable supply chains.
