The purpose of the project is to establish strategic and goal-oriented transport planning, integrated transport management and the implementation of a transport policy that prioritizes sustainable transport at the regional level, thereby testing the usefulness and feasibility of the continued operation and systemic financing of RCM in Slovenia.

The aim of the project is to increase the use of environmentally friendly mobility means through a systematic approach and integration of all administrative levels, thereby contributing to reducing the negative environmental impacts of transport and contributing to mitigating the consequences of climate change through the development and testing of a regional mobility management model. Transport and sustainable mobility are inextricably linked to our everyday lives, so the effects and achievements of the project will have a positive impact on society as a whole.

  • Support for integrated transport planning at the regional level.
  • Support for the national coordination of the European Mobility Week (hereinafter referred to as ETM).
  • Support for the national cycling coordinator.
  • Support for the national public passenger transport management company.

Implementing new solutions in the field of sustainable mobility with appropriately trained personnel.

Educating decision-makers at regional and local levels and users on topics related to sustainable mobility.

Success stories:

The Koroška Regional Mobility Center was established as a pilot project in our region in 2022 as part of the then ReMOBIL project. Based on positive results and impacts, its implementation is being expanded and continued within the framework of the Regional Development Agreement.

The region is recognized for its pioneering work in the field of cycling (Dravska kolesarska pot, Štrekna) and innovative public transport services (Saturday Cycling Train, Štrekna bus). As the first development region in Slovenia, it also produced a Regional Comprehensive Transport Strategy (RCPS).
