Drava Cycling Trail

In 2015, the Partnership for the Drava Cycling Path committed itself to the realization of the Drava Cycling Path project, more efficient use of funds from various sources, and a stronger and more unified approach to state institutions. At the end of 2021, the Partnership expanded its activities to include navigability and management of the regional park, and thus even more comprehensive development of the entire Drava River area. The total value of the entire investment is estimated at 50 million euros, and the financial contribution in the recent period has already amounted to more than 25 million euros.

The goal of the project is to complete the construction of the 145 km long Drava Cycling Trail, regulate navigability on the Drava River, and establish a regional park.

The purpose of the project is to make the new cycle path attractive and more separated from other traffic, which will increase the number of cyclists.

Project benefits:

Positive impact on tourism in the Drava municipalities, establishment of an attractive tourist product of cycling, rowing and exploring natural and cultural trails along the Drava River.
