The key task of the project is to ensure a stable water supply and improve the quality of drinking water for the wider regional system in the Drava Valley. Great importance is attached to ensuring better quality drinking water for the wider population, which will be optimal and safe for health. This will additionally ensure an even higher level of quality of life for the population in the entire valley.

The aim of the project is:
- To ensure clean and high-quality drinking water for all users in the Drava river basin.
- Ensure the construction of new pipelines, reservoirs and pumping stations, and the hydraulic improvement of existing systems.
- Expansion of the water supply system.
- Reducing water losses.
