PUBLIC CALL for co-financing investments in kindergarten and primary education facilities in the Republic of Slovenia in the period 2026 - 2028, in municipalities affected by the floods and landslides of August 4, 2023

The purpose of the call is to stimulate regional development in areas that suffered severe damage in severe storms with several days of heavy rain, floods and landslides on August 4, 2023. Municipal investments in public kindergartens and primary education facilities are co-financed, which include primary schools, branch primary schools, school sports facilities, primary schools with adapted programs and music schools.

The call provides financial assistance to municipalities that are determined as eligible in the Program of Development Incentive Measures in the Field of Economic, Environmental, Social and Cultural Development and Human Resources Development (available at: Program of Development Incentive Measures 2026-2028 ), prepared on the basis of Article 99 of the Act on Reconstruction, Development and Provision of Financial Resources (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, Nos. 131/23, 81/24, 109/24 and 57/25; ZORZFS).

The aim of the call is to provide co-financing to as many renovation or new construction projects as possible for public kindergartens and primary schools, in order to provide missing areas and spaces and/or ensure the static and seismic safety of buildings in eligible areas.

The amount of funds that the ministry will allocate for co-financing investments amounts to 40 million euros, provided by the Program of Development Incentive Measures 2026-2028.
