Public call for proposals OP-NVO25 for co-financing environmental projects of non-governmental organizations

The subject of the public tender is the co-financing of awareness-raising, educational and promotional environmental projects of non-governmental organizations in the following content areas:

• promotion of appropriate product design, reuse, repair and refurbishment of end-of-life products/equipment and obtaining data on individual reuse product streams (e.g. beverage packaging, textiles, etc.);
• maintaining outdoor air quality with the lowest possible level of particles and other air pollutants, especially in the areas of building heating, traffic (e.g. unauthorized interventions in vehicle exhaust systems), unauthorized burning of green waste outdoors, and the harmful effects of using pyrotechnics.

NGO projects will be co-financed, which will implement the following activities in one or more of the above-mentioned content areas:

• raising awareness and educating target groups with the aim of better knowledge and understanding of the issue and greater willingness to change behavior and decision-making;

• promotion and implementation of measures and changes in the behavior of target groups and/or;

• presentation, testing and/or transfer of good practices from abroad or other sectors, promotion of the implementation of sectoral public policies and the design and implementation of new solutions and proposals.

The purpose of the public tender is to contribute to the reduction of environmental burdens and the sustainable development of society with the aim of reducing waste and/or improving air quality, namely by:

• supporting the development, capacity building and networking of NGOs in the Republic of Slovenia, which are among the key actors in the field of strengthening public awareness and protecting the public interest;
• increasing awareness and changing public behavior through quality awareness-raising and promotional projects and best practice projects of the environmental NGO sector in content areas.

Applicants and their project partners are eligible for the incentive under this public call, all of whom must meet all of the following conditions:

• are legal entities under private law with their registered office in the Republic of Slovenia and registered in accordance with the applicable law governing associations, the law governing institutions or the law governing institutes;
• they are non-governmental organizations in accordance with the applicable law governing non-governmental organizations;
• were registered as such no later than 2 (two) years prior to the date of publication of this public tender.

The duration of the projects is a minimum of 10 and a maximum of 12 months. The amount of co-financing is from 20,000 to 30,000 EUR.
